The broken fence did not say a word
But in my mind a story began
Some falls, some deaths queued up like a herd
Then gory stories woke up and ran
Thus the myth of hilly risks began!

The book had all things fantastical
Then words began to spread their charm
What should have been really comical
Got hold of my mind with a sturdy arm
And myths germinated on this farm!

The lie seemed perfect, I lunged to embrace
Then I lived with it through night and day
Until the lie had a logical face
With everything I wanted to say
This myth is me and creates my day!

The news, letโ€™s say, impregnates the mind
In myriad formats it reaches out
Until the truth I can never find
As the truth lies in lies without doubt
And this is what myths are all about!

What is a myth?

What is a myth?
