The Galaxy GRAND – size compared to the size of Note II and the galaxy SIII

What is a grand entry all about? Fanfare, joyous moods, perceived advantages, interactive advantages, scope to move ahead, possibilities, favourable moments, and an accent on ascent are all in one way or the other associated with a GRAND entry. Well, almost all of them are there with the new smartphone that Samsung has just introduced: The Samsung Galaxy Grand.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 is the dual SIM variation of the Galaxy Grand. With an Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB RAM, 5-inch display screen, a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, an 8 MP camera with HD video recording, a 2 MP secondary camera facilitating even 3G video calls, and an 8 GB internal memory, this device is much more than the specifications that I have just mentioned. This smartphone takes anyone up the aesthetics in technology plane and does it at a cost that warms the heart and makes the wallet smile!

Yes, there are a whole lot of smart features that a lot of users wished could be available in phones that did not go beyond their affordability range… and the Galaxy Grand doesn’t disappoint them. So teenagers and students, professionals with limited disposable income, and the elderly who really must get on the bandwagon of smartphones are going to be the happiest. They will now be able to use Smart Stay that uses the front camera to prevent the device from going into standby mode so long as the user is in front of the device, the Direct Call that automatically dials a number when the device is raised to the ear, the Smart Alert that will never let missed calls and messages go unnoticed, the Popup Play which enables users to watch video in a pop-up window anywhere on the screen while running other tasks, the S Voice for voice control, and the Face & Voice Unlock for greater security are all here in this device. Isn’t this really grand for a dual SIM smartphone that is available for just Rs 21,500/-?

What is really grand about the phone is that it comes pre-loaded with services that give you access to thousands of movies, songs, books, texts, and even audio-books! Yes, even audio-books! Wouldn’t students love this feature? Yes, they certainly will.

This device that gives you a choice between Elegant White and metallic Blue colour options weighs 162 grams and is as eye catching as the Galaxy SIII.

The fact that impressed me most is the Samsung concern for new users. Now, not everyone knows how to use all the grand features in a smartphone, so they have a handy User’s Guide that can be downloaded and it helps you understand how to make use of all the smart features in the phone. After all what is the use of a smart device if all you are going to do with it is make a call or send an SMS… there is whole new world of smart operations that Samsung makes sure you understand and use!
