Hey! You know how easy it is to add
Everyone from Zeus to Touchstone
Sometimes even Jeeves would make things glad
But the reader of poetry will groan
And those who read less will read no more
To poetry they will close their door.

For whom will writers and poets write?
Just read each other and then applaud?
The catacombs you create to fight
Turn to hit out at you with a rod.
Then like some distant moon in orbit
In circles you’ll go, remain unlit.

So write not to impress with learning
But to be one with what matters here
Use words all know and then they shall sing
What writing can do shall then be clear.
Poems read will then be poems shared
Poems where true feelings have been bared.
