The confused goats of Palampur
(A series of three poems)
One
Sure-footed, I can hop up and down
Treacherous rocks up on the mountains
But jumping off a bridge because of a stranger?
I am thinking.
I am on a bridge
And on the other side I see
Lots of nibble-worthy nature-grown food
But this stranger has stopped and looks at me.
I am still thinking.
I look down and do not sight fear
But then there is nothing worth jumping either
So I just stand there thinking.
You murmur, ‘This goat is confused.’
I still do not move but now I’m confused.

Thanks a lot, Abhimanyu… do read the other two poems that are a part of this set. All three are on the goats that I had clicked during my Palampur trip. 🙂
