‘What do you want from life,’ I asked this teenager who was standing beside me and watching a fabulously lit-up India Gate a couple of days back. He turned and smiled, ‘More. More of this. More of everything.’

However, there was a strange veil of sadness as he said this and asked him if anything was troubling him.

‘My phone,’ he wailed, ‘look at the pictures. None of them shows anything. And so right now I want more from the camera of my mobile phone.’

If you are like me that I take photos of basically everything, the space of the mobile gets too little, in this Photostick Review you will find a device that allows you to move files from the phone to a USB.

‘Well, you just watch everything and all the lovely sights will stay in your memory. Isn’t that something wonderful? After all, there are millions of people who have never visited Delhi and would give anything to be here and see India Gate and the way the lights are doing their magic.’

‘You’re right. And I did want to share my joy with a few of those who could not be here. But my mobile camera…’

So there you go, the emotion of gimme more or ‘give me more’ is not just about experiences but also about sharing these experiences. This teenager gave me the story that I was looking for and must add here that a reasonably priced smartphone has been launched by Tecno and one that has powerful cameras. You see, this phone that I am talking about is priced at Rs. 8,990. The Camon i comes with 13 MP front camera with boosted dual flash and 13 MP rear camera with Quad LED flash and has a 18:9 Full View HD+ display to get a first-hand view of whatever you have clicked. I’m not surprised that during the launch of this phone, Mr.  Lin Qin, Vice President, TRANSSION Holdings did point out that India was one of the most important overseas markets for their future global growth, ‘in line with our global brand philosophy of “Think Globally, Act Locally”, the core strategy for us to stand out in the emerging markets.’ I guess they understand what the Indian consumer really wants. What we want is a reasonably good phone as a reasonably low price point… and this phone certainly fits in snugly.

The press release of TECNO also talks about their unique promise of ‘111’, which offers 100 days’ replacement warranty, 1-time screen replacement and 1-month extended warranty over and above the 12 months’ warranty period.

Well, if any photo enthusiast is reading this post he or she would know that it is possible to click great pictures without having to spend a lot. The Camon i has all the features that any reasonably good and usable phone has and, in addition, gives one an access to camera abilities in a phone that certainly does the job it is assigned to it.
