The most heartening feature with the smartphone market today is that we have a much wider choice of brands than was the case a few years back. This means that now I do not necessarily need to be holding the same Nokia phone that everyone else is using. I can be different. I must necessarily be different. I can afford to be different. I am different, dammit! Just because the Redmi 5, Zenfone Max Pro M1 or even Honor 9 Lite were launched earlier doesn’t make them superior to the phone that I intend to talk about in this post – the Mobiistar XQ Dual. The company has a lower end version as well and the price difference between the XQ and CQ is three thousand which makes them both siblings meant for different psycho-graphic and demographic segments.

The XQ Dual that is priced at 7999/- comes with a 5.5-inch FHD (1920 x 1280 pixel resolution) IPS display, a reasonably powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, a contemporary 3GB RAM, a hearty 32GB storage (with microSD support up to 128GB), a 13MP rear camera that does its job without claiming to overtake DSLR output, the 13 MP + 8MP dual front cameras do what most brands today claim their phone does for selfie enthusiasts, a StarOS based Android 7.1.2 Nougat that doesn’t come with unmanageable bloatware and gives users the advantage of getting rid of pre-loaded apps they do not wish to use, and a decent 3000mAh battery. Now if you go through this paragraph again you will understand that this phone is friendly as it doesn’t coerce you into living your life with apps that you mind doesn’t accept. This phone has selfie capabilities that give results that range from a 120 degree inclusion to a resolution, clarity, colour intensity, and depth that is the industry average. You can read my post with extensive selfie-notes by clicking HERE. This phone has rear camera output that suits travel enthusiasts, street photography lovers, foodies, family photo types, and even those who think clicking in low light is a challenge that must be accepted. Not all the phones in this price-band can do all this with confidence and this is what makes the smartphone from Mobiistar so different.

In times when there is a race to launch phones that are anorexic to the point of making users nervous as they hold them, this phone isn’t going to slip out of any hand. The Mobiistar XQ Dual has a metal body with plastic at the top and bottom that make it follow fusion trends and give it enough reason to keep the price-band more than affordable. In times when the bezel is racing to exterminate itself, this phone gives users the much needed respite from an overdose of similarity and… well, what else, this also makes it different, doesn’t it? The Mobiistar phones, let me add here, can be compared to a happy marriage where reaching out and healthy communication co-exist with empathy that makes a relationship immortal. The phones that I am talking about have volume keys that the index finger can comfortably reach, and this is the case with other button placements. The presence of a 3.5 mm headphone jack is also an indicator of empathy with the Indian user. My interaction with the XQ Dual is so full of comfortable conversations that I am reminded of all the reasons why I had, some months back, opted to purchase the Swift Dzire and not one of the other more frivolous brands. Indians love to be in the company of those people, objects, and gadgets that do not make them twitch about nervously. To read more on what Indians do with their smartphone, click HERE. Thus, in times when other brands want to be like models on the ramp with no wish to get bogged down by attachments any time soon, the Mobiistar smartphones are like intelligent and talented girls who understand how vital sustainable relationships are for life. Don’t you think then that the Mobiistar phones are different?

There is a huge mass of thinking and discerning consumers who are attracted to the inclusion of the latest in technology in their gadgets but at a price that suits their wallet. There are obviously a lot of features that these phones do not come with but then what they do have is priceless and at a fraction of the cost of a high-end phone. More than this, these phones are for those dare-devils who have the urge to do more using less resources and this is what makes them say, ‘I can afford to be different!’
