Nobody leaves.
The leaves that fall and float away
Come back to run through the veins of another
But if this doesn’t bring back your smile
Remember that the distant stars you see
Are not what they seem to be
And every moment of their life runs through
The endless universe endlessly
So you can run to them and catch up with moments lost.
Nobody leaves.

The poem has such profound meaning. I like the analogy with the stars. Nobody leaves yes, Nobody leaves.

Oh jut so completely fabulous, these are the kind of words that grow into seeds and trees in the acres of miles inside… thank you for reminding me of beauty

My first visit to your blog Mr. Passey and my eyes for Poetry. I am a poet @ heart and this poem caught my attention. I noticed you wrote few words but they are deep, & how true, “Nobody leaves”.
I think I am gonna keep looking for more poetry in your space.
Regards, Shaifali

Thank you, Shaifali… I have more than 1800 poems but they are all still in my notebooks, diaries, scraps of paper, and even on napkins. I really must get down to the task of uploading them all on this blog. Until then, do read the ones that are already there. 🙂
