Poem composed to celebrate a speech of the one who is celebrated…
Environment has a new friend in Leo, we know,
As the actor who won hearts with a mere speech
In less than expected words he did show
How long, high, and powerful can be a speech!
The polar caps are melting and plant species dying
Animals all over are as confused as some of us
Let this confusion fuse with the greed that is buying
Death for all by calling eco-concern a disposable fuss!
Yes, let us not take any day or tonight for granted
Centuries of sensitive balance is disturbed today
Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscar speech went undaunted
Fearlessly fighting through political greed of the day!
