Happiness is…
…what a thought black-out isn’t. Ask a writer what it is to get an inspired thought, an idea that simply disappears the moment he is ready at his desk with the laptop switched on and a word processor blank document open. The thought black-out ensures that the blank page turns black. But when the opposite happens and the thought simply flows out on the page, the result is happiness.
Happiness is…
…when you don’t have to pull your hair in frustration. Well, ask a blogger who knows he has written a great post for a contest but when the results are declared and he reads some fabulously inglorious writings win, all he can do is pull his hair in frustration. The opposite is, of course, not always his winning but the right or deserving posts winning that result in happiness.
Happiness is…
…what breaking a law cannot be. Imagine you are out driving at 6 in the morning when the traffic lights are functional and you stop at a crossing when the stop light is on. But everyone else either zips past or slows down but sneaks past and some even gesticulate rudely to you as if you’re mad. Fine, there are no traffic cops around, but why break a law, you say to yourself. And you happily smile and move only when the traffic lights turn green.
Happiness is…
…when you carefully fold an empty chocolate wrapper and carefully put it in your pocket until you sight a bin. But then a greater level of happiness pervades your senses when you see someone else do this.
Happiness is…
…sighting a prompt and completing a small piece in less than fifteen minutes!
